Overview
UNLV Online Education works on dozens of courses every year and each course has a small team of instructional designers and multimedia artists. After trying multiple project management systems, it was determined that a custom in-house solution was needed. Managers wanted a dashboard that could tie disparate systems and processes together.
DB2 was created to track course development projects, empower staff members to record status updates, and give management a bird’s-eye view of progress so that strategic decisions could be made for the department.
Under the Hood
DB2 is an Angular app. The back-end is an Express.js REST API with a MySQL database.
